Terms of Service

LEDGEIN provides practice management software for accounting, CA and finance practices, delivered as a hosted application at app.ledgein.com. Features available to a practice depend on the plan it holds.

A practice creates a workspace and invites its people. The practice is responsible for the accounts it creates, the roles it assigns, and keeping sign-in credentials confidential. Accounts are for named individuals and should not be shared.

The service may be used for the practice's own professional work. It may not be resold or made available to third parties as a service without our written agreement.

• Ensuring the practice has the right to record and process the information it uploads.
• Managing who in the practice has access, and removing access when someone leaves.
• Deciding which clients receive portal access.
• Reviewing outputs, including regulatory shortlists, before acting on them.

Information a practice records about its clients remains the practice's responsibility. We process it to provide the service, in line with our Privacy Policy.

Plans include a 14-day free trial and no card is required to start. At the end of the trial, a plan must be selected to continue. Data is retained and access is restricted according to the application's trial policy until a plan is chosen.

Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly in New Zealand dollars, exclusive of GST where applicable, and are managed inside the application. Plan capacity limits for staff, clients, connectors and country packs are enforced by the application.

The service may not be used to:

• break the law or infringe another party's rights;
• attempt to access another practice's workspace or data;
• probe, scan or interfere with the service outside our responsible disclosure process;
• upload malicious code; or
• place load on the service that degrades it for others.

Integrations are authorised by the practice and are subject to the relevant provider's own terms. Provider availability may change, and we are not responsible for a third-party service's behaviour or continuity. LEDGEIN is not affiliated with or endorsed by the providers named on this website.

We aim to provide a reliable service, and we release updates centrally. We do not claim uninterrupted availability, and planned maintenance or provider incidents may affect access. Features may change as the product develops.

LEDGEIN and its software, design and documentation remain our property. A practice's own data remains the practice's property. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership either way.

Each party will protect the other's confidential information and use it only for the purpose of providing or using the service.

A practice may stop using the service and end its subscription through the application. We may suspend or end access where these terms are seriously or repeatedly breached. On termination, offboarding and data handling follow our Privacy Policy.

LEDGEIN is software that supports professional work. It does not provide accounting, tax, legal or financial advice, and it does not guarantee that a practice or its clients are compliant with any obligation. Regulatory features surface information and shortlists for a qualified person to review; the professional judgement and the decision remain with the practice.
