Yes. Clients are recorded with the services they are engaged for, so individuals, companies, trusts and other entity types can be tracked with the obligations and work that apply to each.

No. LEDGEIN manages the practice — clients, work, compliance tracking, documents, communication and reporting. Xero and your tax software keep doing their job; LEDGEIN connects to supported systems and surfaces their context rather than replacing them.

Does LEDGEIN work for a growing practice?

Yes. Workflows are defined once and reused, so new staff follow the same process. Plans differ in capacity for staff, clients, connectors and country packs, and you can move up as the practice grows.

Automation is a deterministic engine built on WHEN / IF / THEN rules, with branching, waits, retries, templates and execution history. Your practice defines the triggers, conditions and actions; LEDGEIN runs them consistently and records every execution. It is not an autonomous AI agent.

Which jurisdictions are currently monitored?

Operational regulatory monitoring currently covers New Zealand, Australia and India. Monitoring is being rolled out jurisdiction by jurisdiction; we only list jurisdictions that are live, and registry architecture for other countries is not the same as operational coverage.

What is Ask LEDGEIN?

Ask LEDGEIN is permission-aware AI assistance inside the workspace. It can answer questions such as what needs attention today, summarise a client or a report, explain a regulatory update, or draft a follow-up message for a person to review.

How does Ask LEDGEIN protect client information?

It works only from LEDGEIN context the signed-in user is already authorised to see, and it respects the same role-based permissions as the rest of the workspace. Consequential actions require explicit confirmation by a person. AI does not replace official regulatory sources, deterministic compliance logic, Client Health rules, report calculations or permission controls.

Can reports be exported and scheduled?

Yes. Operational reports support filters and drill-down, can be saved and favourited, exported to CSV or XLSX, and delivered on a schedule with report history retained. LEDGEIN does not expose arbitrary SQL or an unrestricted BI layer.

Is Payroll available in LEDGEIN?

No. Native LEDGEIN Payroll is planned for the future and is not part of LEDGEIN V2. It is not included in any current plan, and practices should not plan a rollout around it.

Does LEDGEIN have a client portal?

Yes. The Client Portal gives each client one secure place to see their actions, document requests, uploads, deadlines, approvals, messages, notifications and invoice information for their own records only.

How does LEDGEIN keep practice data separated?

Each practice works in its own tenant. Requests are authorised on the server against the practice the signed-in user belongs to, so data is not shared between practices.

Can client portal users see other clients?

No. Portal access is scoped to the specific client record it was issued for, and portal users only see the requests, documents and messages associated with that client.

How are integrations connected?

A practice administrator authorises the connection with the provider. Provider credentials and tokens are held server-side and are not exposed to browser users, and a connection can be disconnected by the practice at any time.

How does the Practice Server control folder access?

The connector is paired to your practice once during setup and operates only within the folders you approve. Paths outside the approved locations are not available to it, and its status can be monitored from the workspace.

Does LEDGEIN support multi-factor authentication?

Authentication is handled by the LEDGEIN application, and multi-factor authentication is not something we claim as a confirmed, generally available control on this website. If MFA is a requirement for your practice, contact us and we will confirm the current position in writing before you commit.

How does the free trial work?

Every plan includes a 14-day free trial and no card is required to start. You set up your workspace and use LEDGEIN with your own practice information during the trial.

Starter, Professional and Business are self-service and can be paid monthly or yearly. Enterprise covers custom capacity and commercial arrangements and is agreed with our team rather than through self-service checkout.

No. Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars and exclude GST where applicable. Tax is applied by the LEDGEIN application at billing.

How does the Xero integration work?

A practice administrator authorises Xero, and matched contacts give practice work useful accounting context. LEDGEIN is not affiliated with or endorsed by Xero.

Microsoft 365 covers organisational sign-in and connecting SharePoint or OneDrive as a document destination, subject to configuration by your IT administrator. LEDGEIN is not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft.

It is a connector installed on a Windows machine in your office so approved local folders can take part in LEDGEIN document workflows without moving your whole file system first.

How is it paired to our workspace?

Pairing is a one-time step during setup that issues credentials to that specific device. Those credentials can be rotated or revoked from the workspace if the machine changes or is retired.

The connector reports its status in the workspace so the practice can see when it is unavailable, and file operations that depend on it wait until the connection is restored.
